Little Heroines Compiled By Dorothy Donnell Calhoun Antique 1921 Edition Little Folks in History Book II
This is the antique 1921 reprint of Little Heroines, compiled by Dorothy Donnell Calhoun and published by The Abingdon Press. Little Heroines is book two in the Little Folks in History series, which also includes Little Folks in Art and Little Heroes of the Bible. This edition includes the original dust jacket, which has been wrapped in library plastic to protect it. Underneath, the cover is gold with the title in red and the cover illustration in black, gold, and blue. Little Heroines includes five stories - Lady Jane Grey, Jacqueline, Prascovia, Pocahontas, and Madelon de Vercheres. There are three black and white portrait pages included. The book is 74 pages long.
The book is in excellent antique condition for its age and use. The dust jacket has minimal wear due to the protective plastic, but does have two tears along the bottom edge. The cover underneath is in pristine condition. The spines are still attached, and the pages have yellowed.
The book measures 4.75 inches by 7 inches. It is just over half an inch thick.
