This is the 1931 edition of 16 Ready to Play Games from Whitman Publishing Company. Designed and drawn by W.P. and B. Keasbey, this is model no. 955 of Ready to Play Games. It's basically a book of board games with each game having its own instructions and potentially its own attached spinner. Players were supposed to cut along the dotted line to detach all the game boards. Included are the Racing Snails Game, Hop-Circle Game, Call Your Shots Game, Step Two Game, Tennis, Anagram-Checkers, Pirate Pursuit Game, Airplane Race Game, Obstacle Race, King Cole Game, Dash to the Pole Game, Jump-Along Game, Hollywood Stars Game, Dial-a-While Radio Game, Game of Corners Count, and Spider. Call Your Shots, Dial-a-While, and Spider have their own spinners. Each game is brightly colored and includes its own rules printed somewhere on its board.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The spinner for Snails on the front cover is missing. The bottom right corner of the front cover is peeling away from the heavy cardboard underneath. The other corner and all the edges have general wear. The spine has worn away around the staples but all the pages are still attached with no loose pages.
The pages have darkened, but the colors are still bright.
The book measures 10.5 inches long by 7.75 inches wide.
