This is a brass display stand with hand clips that was made in Japan and designed to look like a Victorian glove clip stand. The stand has a tall central pole with a rounded knob top and a round footed base made to look like leaves or a flower. The stand has three attached metal clips in the shape of hands or gloves at equal intervals around the central pole. The gloves have scalloped edge and wrist band details. The bottom is marked Japan.
The stand is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The clips all open and close easily. The gloves have some wear with the top glove having the most. The brass is still shiny in some places, but there are areas of dulled brass and small tarnish spots.
The stand measures 11.75 inches tall. It is 3.5 inches in diameter at the base. Each hand clip is 2.5 inches long and about an inch wide.
