This is the vintage 1927 edition of An Introduction to the Study of Blake by Max Plowman, published by J.M. Dent & Sons, Ltd. The edition has a blue linen cover with an embossed border line around the edge of the front cover. The spine is decorated with a gold angel and is also lettered in gold. The book is divided into 10 chapters, and there are 8 black and white illustration plates. There are 183 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The covers have minimal wear to corners and edges and the gold lettering is still intact on the spine. The covers do have some very small areas of staining or discoloration. There is a stamp inside the front cover, "Prop. of. Fred Whitehead Pratt, Kansas". The title page has a stamp, "The Homes of S. Barnabas, Incor". The pages are yellowed. The covers are still attached at the spine but cracked inside the front and back cover. There is "25, 29, 37, 47" written in pencil inside the back cover.
The book measures 7.75 inches by 5.25 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
