This is a brass lion head clip from Hunt Mfg Co. The lion on the front of clip has a large mane and mouth open in a big roar. He soldered to the clip, which is marked Boston Clip No 2 Hunt Mfg. Co. Statesville NC.
The clip is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The clip and lion were brass coated, and there are areas to both where the brass coating is fading exposing the silver metal underneath. It gives it a lovely patina. The clip works and pushes open easily.
The clip measures 2 by 2.5 inches. It is about an inch deep.
