This is the vintage 1929 edition of Camping and Character by H.S. Dimock and C.E. Hendry, published by Association Press. The covers are a forest green with black lettering on the front cover and gold lettering on the spine. Camping and Character is a book about "a camp experiment in character education", essentially a manual on how to run a successful summer camp. There are 14 chapters, 9 appendices, and an index. The book has black and white photographs, as well as several black and white tables and forms. There are 364 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The gold lettering on the spine is intact and bright. The covers have general wear to corners and edges, but they big areas of discoloration and staining, especially to the back cover. Please see photos. Shirley Drew of Columbia, Mo wrote her name inside the front cover in ink. The pages are yellowed. The covers are attached at the spine.
The book measures 8.75 by 5.75 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick.
