This the vintage 1952 edition of The Real Book About Pirates by Samuel Epstein, part of the The Real Book series of books. It has a red and white crosshatch front and back cover with a solid red spine. The spine is lettered in black. The inside front and back pages are an illustrated pirate sword fight in white and green-blue. The book has 8 chapters, including a chapter on women pirates. The book has black and white illustrations and 192 pages.
The book is in excellent vintage condition for its age and use. The covers have minimal wear, just some very slight discoloration at the bottom of the spine. The spines are attached. The pages are slightly yellowed.
The book measures 8 by 5.5 inches. It is .75 inches thick.
