This is the 1954 Green Book of Birds of America by Frank G. Ashbrook and published by Whitman. It has a bright green cover with two birds. The inside front and back end pages are illustrated with birds on branches. The Green Book is written by Frank G. Ashbrook with full-color illustrations by Paul Moller. The Green Book covers warblers, chickadees, kinglets, nuthatches, tanagers, thrushes, waxwings, vireos, etc. There are 57 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The plastic covering on the cover has begun to come off, especially along the spine. The covers have general wear with some worn away areas along the right edge of the front cover. The pages are yellowed slightly but the illustrations are still bright.
The book measures 5.75 by 4.25 inches. It is half an inch thick.
