This is a gold colored metal and gold velvet jewelry casket or display box. The box has ornate scrollwork sides with a floral motif. There are flowers on the thumb tab to lift the lid and flowers on all four decorated feet. The lid is hinged at the back and has glass inset under the metal hearts or spades border. Inside is a padded velvet pillow. The underside is also lined in gold velvet. There is no makers mark.
The jewelry box is in excellent condition for its age and use. The glass is clear and free of chips, cracks, or scratches. The velvet is intact with minimal wear. The gold metal is shiny with minimal to no tarnishing. The scrollwork is straight with no bent pieces.
The box measures 4 inches square. It is 3.25 inches high.
