This is a small wood hand painted gray box with a rose. The box is solid wood with jointed corners. It has been painted gray with a black marbled effect. The top has also been painted with a pink rose with green leaves and a green stem. The box lid is hinged with gold metal hinges and the front has a small gold metal clasp. The inside has been painted a deep red. The bottom of the box has been covered with a small padded fabric pillow. The fabric is deep red and with an all over pattern of white flowers.
The box is in good vintage condition for its age and use. It has general wear, and the lid has two small areas of chippy paint. The lid opens and closes easily. The fabric is intact with no rips, tears, or stains.
The box measures 5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide. It is 2.25 inches tall.
