This is a set of two small hand painted floral trinket dishes. The dishes are white ceramic rectangles with yellow borders and gold detailing. It's possible these were tiny ashtrays because each of the corners is slightly sunk in creating a resting spot for a cigarette. The middles of the trays are painted with purple, pink, blue, and red flowers with green leaves. The bottoms are stamped Hand Painted Made in Occupied Japan.
The dishes are in great vintage condition for their age and use. There are no chips or cracks. The paint is intact and bright. There is some discoloration to the white ceramic on both dishes on the underside of the dish.
The dishes measure 3.5 inches long by 2.5 inches wide. They sit about three-quarters of an inch tall.
