This is a small ceramic trinket box in the shape of a butterfly. The box is butterfly-shaped with glaze in purple and brown. The sides of the box are light brown with two yellow dots at opposite corners and two red dots at opposite corners. The lid is brown in the center with purple on the outside. The underside of the lid, the inside of the box, and the bottom are all dark brown. There is no makers mark.
The box is in good vintage condition for its age and use. It looks like the lid cracked cleanly at some point and has been repaired. There is some glue residue on the underside of the lid, and the crack line can be seen on the top of the lid, mostly in the center. Please see photos! There is a chip to the underside of the top right corner of the lid's wing, but it looks like a manufacturing defect as there is glaze and purple paint covering it.
The butterfly measures 3.75 inches long by 3.75 inches wide. It sits about 1.5 inches tall.
