Brass & Grosgrain Ribbon 8 x 10 Frame Vintage with Howard Charles Christy Navy Girl Print

This is a lovely 8 x 10 brass and grosgrain ribbon Art Deco picture frame with a vintage Christy Girl print. The frame is brass with a floral pattern on the sides. The front edges of the frame have horizontal lines with two inner bamboo style borders. In between the two bamboo style borders is a wide, beige grosgrain ribbon. The corners have Art Deco style arrows point to the center of the frame and bridging the ribbon. Inside the frame is a blue floral print paper with light blue flowers with gold centers and light blue leaves. On top of the paper is a vintage, possibly antique full color print of a Howard Charles Christy illustrated girl. She is dressed in a Navy style uniform with a blue pea coat over a blue skirt and a naval cap with a gold anchor. The back of the frame is covered in black velvet with a tabletop stand and a small brass hoop to hang it on the wall.

The frame and print are in great vintage condition for their age and use. The frame brass is dulled giving it a nice patina. The ribbon is intact with a small area of discoloration to the top right of the frame. The back velvet is intact with minimal wear. The back slides out easily. The frame glass is clear with minimal scratches. The print has some foxing and discoloration to the outer edges.

The frame opening measures 8 x 10 inches. The frame is 10.25 inches wide by 12.25 inches long. It is about half an inch thick.
