This is a sweet handmade stuffed animal kangaroo with a tiny baby joey in the pouch. The kangaroos are handsewn and hand-stuffed. The have a nice weight and stuff to them, making them able to stand up to the strongest of snuggles. Both kangaroos are made from a mustard yellow heavy fabric with red flowers with black centers. The mama kangaroo has red fabric for her inner ears. Both kangaroos have black felt eyes and a black thread mouth. The mama kangaroo has a Berea College Student Industries tag inside her pouch. Berea College in Kentucky was the first interracial and co-educational college in the South with free tuition. All students learn a handicraft, and these handicrafts are sold to fund the college.
The kangaroo is in excellent vintage condition for its age and use. It is still well stuffed with minimal to no staining, fading, or discoloration to the fabric. It has no vintage smell. There are no rips or tears and the seams are tight.
The mama kangaroo measures 11 inches tall. It is about 5 inches wide.
