This is a small teak wood box with a brass elephant inlay. The box is a lovely solid teak wood with a hinged lid. On the front and back of the box are two brass inlaid elephants with vines and leaves between. The sides have one brass elephant with vines and leaves surrounding. The top of the box has vines and leaves with two small elephants in the middle of the vines. The inside of the box is lined with salmon colored velvet. The bottom of the box has a Made in India sticker with the numbers 2402.
The box is in great vintage condition for its age and use. There is one small spot of discoloration to the front center of the lid. The brass has dulled and there are a few small tarnish spots. The wood is intact with general wear to corners and edges. There is a needle stuck in the under lid velvet. The velvet is intact with no stains or discoloration.
The box measures just over 6 inches long by 4 inches wide. It is 2 inches tall.
