This is a brown tin rectangular cash box with a hinged lid and oval handle. The handle is inset and lifts up and down, laying flat when not in use. The lid has a wide gold border, and there is another gold border around the bottom of the box. There is a brass lock on the front. The outsides are brown but the inside and bottom are plain black.
The box is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The gold paint for the borders is chippy, especially around the edges. There are scratches all over with lots of scratched away paint on the bottom and inside of the box. The left side of the box also has two large scratched spots. There is no key for the lock.
The box measures 10.5 inches long by 7 inches wide. It is 4 inches tall.
