This is a vintage, possibly antique, wood cigar box for Garcia Sublime Claro with the most wonderful graphics and typology. It is made of wood with colorful labels on the top, remnants of tax and government stamps and stickers, and a full color decorated inner lid. These cigars were made at Factory 25 in the Third District State of Iowa. They were produced by the McKee and Marks Cigar Co between 1918 and 1924.
The box is in good condition for its age and use. The outer top label has some scratching to the right side of the label, but otherwise, the label is intact and bright. The front stamp has started to peel away. The left side bottom border is mostly missing. The box corners and edges have general wear, and the lid is still attached. The inside label is intact and the inside paper has some staining.
The box measures just over 4.75 inches long by 3.75 inches wide. It is 1.5 inches tall.
