This is an antique ornate metal oval frame with a black and white portrait photo. The frame is gold metal with raised flourishes around the edge of the frame. The back is cardboard with a metal stand that is actually a hanger. The back is held in with metal tabs. Inside the frame is a black and white photograph portrait of a man in a suit with a bowtie and an epic mustache.
The frame is in antique condition for its age and use. It is tarnished all over with some larger dark spots around the edge. The photo doesn't quite fit all the way so the cardboard is showing around the top and bottom edges. The glass has some smudging at the bottom of the frame, but I think it could possibly be gently scraped off. The backing has been ripped along the top edge, but the metal tabs are holding the rest in well. The hanger works and is secure.
The frame measures 3.75 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide. It is about a quarter of an inch thick. The hanger is 2.5 inches long. The picture opening is 3 inches by 2 inches.
