This is a large outdoor tin Tartan Jug cooler. The jug is yellow, brown, and red plaid on the sides with a solid brown bottom and top. The lid is yellow plastic and the jug has a silver metal handle with a yellow plastic grip. The front of the jug has an inset area for the silver metal spout which turns out to use the jug and lays flat against the jug when not in use. The front of the jug has the Tartan Jug label imprinted as part of the design. It features a cheeky Scotsman playing the bagpipes and gives the Poloron Products information.
The jug is in vintage condition and should not be used as an actual picnic cooler. The jug has general wear to the outside with areas of discoloration, scratching, and rust. There are several spots where the jug has rusted through leaving a hole in the design. The lid comes off easily. The inside of the jug does have discoloration, water spots, and corrosion. Again, it should be used as decor, not as an actual water jug. The handle lifts easily.
The jug measures 9 inches across at its base. It is about 9.25 inches high including the lid but not including the handle.
