This is the antique 1909 edition of The Calling of Dan Matthews by Harold Bell Wright. It has a green cover with dark green borders and dark green lettering for the author's name. The title is lettered in white as is the spine. The book does have black and white illustration plates. There are 364 pages with advertisement pages at the end.
The book is in antique condition for its age and use. The lettering on the cover and spine has faded. The cover also has general wear with discoloration and scratches. The corners and spine edges are frayed. There is an ink inscription inside the front cover, "Best Wishes and Congratulations Upon Your Graduation To Amy From Agnes and Lorne May 13, 1912". The spine has separated after the first endpaper. It is still attached by the webbing. Someone scribbled in pencil inside the back cover. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 7.5 by 5 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick.
