This is the antique edition of The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Other Stories by Charles Dickens, published by the American News Company. It features a gray blue cover with black floral details and illustrations. The spine is also illustrated with the title outlined in gold. The inside front and back endpapers are a repeating pattern of light brown flower vines on a cream background. There are 379 ages.
The book is in good antique condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear, mostly to the corners and edges. The top and bottom of the spine have flaking. The covers are still attached at the spine, though starting to separate at the front and almost fully separated at the back. Miss Bessie Hinch wrote her name, city, and date inside the front cover in pencil. The pages are very yellowed.
The book measures 7.5 by 5.25 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
