This is the 1956 edition of the Golden Nature Guide to the most familiar American birds written Herbert S. Zim and Ira Gabrielson. It is illustrated by James Gordon Irving. There are 160 pages with full color illustrations.
This book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The covers are still attached at the spine but the spine has been cracked. The pages have yellowing but the illustrations are still bright. The covers have general wear with some bends and discoloration.
The book measures 6 inches by 4 inches. It is half an inch thick.
