This is the 1970 first edition of The Vogue Sewing Book with original slipcase. The book has an orange slipcase with white lettering on the front cover. The book's covers are cream colored with orange lettering. The spine is grey linen with cream lettering. The book has beige colored front and endpapers. This edition was edited by Patricia Perry and published by Vogue Patterns, New York. The book has both illustrations and full color photographs. There are 416 pages.
The slipcase and book are both in great vintage condition for their age and use. They have minimal but general wear to both with some small areas of discoloration to the slipcase. The book's pages are slightly yellowed. The covers are still attached at the spine.
The book in the slipcase measures 8 by 10.5 inches. It is 2 inches thick.
