This is the antique 1887 edition of The New Packard Commercial Arithmetic by S.S. Packard and Bryan Horton, published by Henry I. Cain & Son. It has green covers with black lettering and flourishes. The spine is also lettered and bordered in black. There are 360 pages.
The book is in good antique condition for its age and use. The spines have most of the wear with peeling to both top and bottom. There is general fading and discoloration to the covers. Someone wrote 150 upside down in pencil on the front cover. There are extensive pen and pencil notes inside both the front and back covers. The penmanship is excellent. The covers are separated but still attached by the webbing at both the front and back covers.
The book measures 8.5 inches by 6 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
