This is the 1948 edition of The Londoner's England edited by Alan Bott, published by Avalon Press & William Collins. It has green covers with brown lettering on the cover and spine. It includes full color and black and white contemporary watercolors and drawing of London and the Home Counties by various artists. There are 89 illustration plates and 191 pages.
The book is in great vintage condition for its age and use. The covers have minimal wear with some minor discoloration. Mrs. Wall paperclipped her card inside the front cover with an inked message "With Kind thoughts & best wishes for Xmas". Virginia Bradshaw wrote her name and the year 1950 also in ink inside the front cover as well as From Mrs. Wall - England - Christmas 1950. The covers are still attached at the spine. The pages are yellowed but the illustrations are still bright.
The book measures 8.75 inches by 11 inches. It is just under one inch thick.
