This is a green jewelry box with gold detailing. It is heavy cardboard wrapped with a green leather-like vinyl. The top is embossed with gold fleur de lys. The top is hinged and attached at the back with brass hinges. The sides of the box have gold borders - one dotted and on solid. The inside of the lid is gold satin with small gold fleur de lys. The inside is divided into two trays with the top tray lofted up by silver arms. Both trays are lined with green velvet. The top tray has 2 small square compartments, 2 small rectangle compartments, and 1 large horizontal compartment with a row for rings in the center of the tray. The bottom is divided into two equal compartments. The box latches on the front with a brass slide button latch.
The box is in great vintage condition for its age and use. The lid opens and closes easily. The outside has minimal wear with some very minor wear to corners and edges. The gold detailing is still intact. The inside has general wear with minimal fading or staining.
The box measures 10 inches long by 7 inches wide. It is 3.5 inches tall.
