This is the antique Cassell, Petter, Galpin, & Co. edition of the Vicar of Wakefield and Other Works by Oliver Goldsmith with Introduction and Notes by John Francis Waller, LL.D. It has light green covers with black line illustrations of flowers as well as embossed flowers. The title is lettered in black within a gold border. The spine is also decorated with flowers and gold. Inside the book is fully illustrated with black and white drawings. There are 369 pages.
The book is in good antique condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with fraying to the corners and edges. The gold on the cover and spine is faded slightly but still shiny and intact. The front cover is almost separated from the spine. The back cover is intact. Someone wrote Shakespeares Epitaph in pencil on the top of the title page. The pages are yellowed with some foxing.
The book measures 9.75 inches by 7.25 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick.
