This is a very old 1801 first edition of C. Cornellii's Taciti Opera, Tome II, Part II published by Libraria Weidmannia. It has brown and gold marbled covers with brown leather corners and spine. The spine is banded in olive green leather and lettered and decorated in gold. It is written in Latin and is a translation of Tacitus's works and history of the Roman empire. Volume two goes from pages 517 to 1138. The page ends are green.

The book is good antique condition for its age and use, considering it is 225 years old! The covers have general wear with the spine leather beginning to separate at the front cover. The gold lettering and decoration is still bright. S.A. Eliot glued their bookplate inside the front cover. The spines are still attached at the inside front and back covers. The pages have begun to brown with some foxing where the inside endpapers were glued down.

The book measures 8.25 by 5 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick.
