This is an antique 1917 set of two volumes of the Nature Lovers Library, Volume V and VI, Mammals of Other Lands and Birds of Other Lands with Reptiles, Fishes, and Lower Forms, published by The University Society, Inc. They have green covers with the gold Nature Lovers Library logo on the front. The spine is also lettered and decorated in gold. The endpapers are illustrated with an ocean scene and seagull and a forest scene and deer. Both volumes have both black and white illustrations as well as full color illustration plates. Both volumes have 383 pages.
The books are in antique condition for their age and use. They have areas of discoloration to the spine with missing areas of dark green. The gold lettering that is still there is intact and bright. The covers are attached in both volumes but both volumes have the title page sections detached. The pages are yellowed but the illustrations are still bright.
The books measure 8.5 by 11.5 inches. They are each just under 1.5 inches thick.
