1969 Cameo Edition Tapestries by Mercedes Viale

This is the 1969 Cameo edition of Tapestries by Mercedes Viale, published by Paul Hamlyn. It has light gray covers with the spine lettered in silver. The book is an art history guide to tapestries organized chronologically by country. It is illustrated with full color illustration plates of famous tapestries, like the The Unicorn and the Mirror from the Musee de Cluny. There are 159 pages with 70 illustration plates.

The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with some discoloration to the edges. The front cover has detached at the spine on the inside at the front cover. It is still attached by the webbing and in the very bottom. La Brunerie (?) wrote their name in ink inside the front cover. The page are just starting to yellow. The illustrations are still bright.

The book measures 5.25 by 7.5 inches. It is half an inch thick.
