This is a midcentury Santa mug marked Japan on the bottom. The mug has been molded in the shape of Santa's face with a white beard and mustache. Santa has bushy white eyebrows, long eyelashes, and red lips. The handle is red to look like Santa's hat, and the back is red and white to be more of Santa's hat and hair. The bottom is stamped Japan.
The mug is in good vintage condition for its age and use. There are no chips or cracks. Santa does have some chippy paint, especially to the side of his nose, his right eyebrow, the handle, and the side of his hat. The rim has some slight discoloration near the handle. The paint is still bright and the glaze still shiny. The glaze is crackled all over.
The mug measures 4.25 inches long by 3 inches wide. It is 3.25 inches tall.
