This is a Victorian style Christmas storage box with a portrait on the lid. The box is gold and brown with holly details. In the center of the lid is a Gibson style Girl wearing a blue velvet Santa hat and fox-fur trimmed Santa coat. The sides of the box are also printed with holly. The bottom is plain brown. The box is lined with brown and white marble paper and the lid is printed on the underside with the same print as the top lid. There are red ribbons attached to the box and lid.
The box is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The lid has darkened and has discoloration. There are multiple areas on the outside of the box, especially on the corners and edges where the paper print is missing, giving it a chippy look. The ribbons attaching the lid to the box have been cut so the box opens all the way now. The lid is still attached.
The box measures 10.25 inches long by 8.5 inches wide. It is 3.75 inches tall.
