This is a pyrography wood oval framed with holly leaves and berries. The frame is a solid light oval wood. It is a pyrography design where the wood has been darkened by fire. The wood was darkened so that the holly leaves and berries are still the light wood color and the rest of the frame is dark. The back of the frame has an inset in the frame where the picture can sit. There is no glass in the frame. The picture opening is 4.25 inches by 3 inches.
The frame is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The wood has darkened all over, except for the areas of holly on the front of the frame. To create a hanger for the frame, someone stapled a bread tie to the top of the back of the frame. It's surprisingly stable and tight to the frame.
The frame measures 7.25 inches tall by 5.75 inches wide. It is .25 inches thick.
