This is the 1961 second printing of The Horizon Book of the Renaissance, compiled by the editors of Horizon Magazine and published by American Heritage Publishing. The book still has its original full color dust jacket with the painting Portrait of a Youth by Filippino Lippi. Underneath the covers are shades of brown with a floral flourish pattern and gold lettering on the spine. The endpapers are a light brown. The book is illustrated with both black and white and full color plates. There are 431 pages.
The book is in great vintage condition for its age and use. The dust jacket has most of the wear with some parts of the paper peeled away and some tearing to corners and edges. The book underneath is in almost like new condition with just some slight yellowing to the pages.
The book measures 12.25 inches by 9.25 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
