This is the 1948 edition of The Complete Home Handyman's Guide, edited by Hubbard Cobb and published by Wm. H. Wise & Co. It has brown covers with gold lettering on the cover and spine, as well as the Wise & Co. bird logo on the spine. The book is divided into fifteen sections, including topics such as plumbing, external repairs, furniture, and construction. The guide is illustration throughout with black and white illustrations. There are 500 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with some fraying to the spine. The gold lettering is intact but beginning to fade on both cover and spine. Ellen wrote her dad a lovely father's day letter inside the front cover. It could be easily pasted over with another letter! The covers are still attached at the spine. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 8.5 by 5.75 inches. It is 1.75 inches thick.
