This is a vintage Gorwood kisslock closure handbag that was made in France. The bag is a lovely floral brocade on a black and cream background. It has a gold metal etched frame at the top of the handbag with a kisslock closure. The handbag has a dainty gold metal chain to carry it around your wrist. The inside of the bag is cream colored satin with a gold thread attached tag that says Gorwood Made in France.
The bag is in great vintage condition for its age and use. The brocade and lining have general wear with only minimal discoloration, fading, or staining. The metal portions of the purse have begun to tarnish, especially the wrist chain and kisslock closure. The frame is still mostly shiny. The kisslock closure opens and closes easily.
The purse measures 6.25 inches long by about .75 inches wide at the base. It is 5 inches tall.
