This is the antique 1900 edition of The Beacon Song Collection: For Schools, Colleges, and Choral Societies Number Two, compiled and arranged by Herbert Griggs and published by Silver-Burdett & Company. It has a green illustrated cover with a dark green spine. The back cover lists the Silver-Burdett catalog of musical publications. The songbook is divided into 5 sections: Part-Songs and Choruses, Songs for Social Occasions, Songs for Arbor Day, National and Patriotic, and Sacred Selections. There are 252 pages.
The book is in fair good antique condition for its age and use. The illustrated cover is bright with minimal loss to the actual illustration. There is some discoloration and scratching to the edges and corners. The spine is attached at the inside front cover, but has completely detached at the inside back cover. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 9.25 by 7 inches. It is .75 inches thick.
