This is a brass compote or pedestal bowl with fish serpent handles. The bowl has a flared, ribbed pedestal base with an oval-shaped bowl. The handles are curved with a koi, water serpent, or dragon head and fish tail. There is a Made in India sticker on the underside of the bowl. A stunning centerpiece display!
The bowl is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The brass has aged, giving it a lovely patina. There are areas of discoloration and tarnishing all over, especially to the bottom inside of the bowl. The handles are well attached.
The bowl measures 17 inches long by 9.25 inches wide. It is 8.25 inches tall.
