This is the antique 1904 edition of Naples, painted by A. Fitzgerald and described by S. Fitzgerald, published by Adam & Charles Black. It has red covers with an Art Nouveau style urn on the front cover with green line illustrations of leaves, vines, and flowers. The cover is lettered in gold. The spine is also decorated and lettered in gold. The endpapers are beige. The travelogue has 80 full color illustration plates with 235 pages. There are also several advertisement pages at the end of the book.
The book is in fair antique condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with fading and discoloration. The gold lettering is mostly intact and still bright. The spine has the most wear with tearing along the top and bottom edges. The covers are still attached at the spine but they have cracked at both the front and back. The first four pages have separated from the spine. The pages have yellowed with some foxing. The color illustration plates are still bright.
The book measures 9 by 6.75 inches. It is 2 inches thick.
