This is a pair of vintage Damascene dangle earrings. Damascene jewelry is a way of making jewelry, usually in Toledo, Spain, where gold foil or gold wire is hammered into a dark steel background. These earrings have gold birds and gold flowers. They are made of a larger circle from which hangs a large hoop inside of which is a small circle. They have latch backs, and the backs of the earrings are plain gold metal.
The earrings are in great vintage condition for their age and use. One of the earrings has discoloration around the very bottom left. The latch backs open and close easily.
The earrings measure 1.5 inches long and just under 1 inch wide.
