This is a signed and framed vintage oil seascape painting on board. The painting features a dramatic sailboat in the center with buoys and a gondola in the foreground. The background of the painting shows small houses and harbor with the blue sky above. The sky has large puffy clouds. The painting is done is shades of blue, pink, red, purple, white, and brown. It is framed in a wood frame that has been painted gold. The painting has been signed R.E.L. and dated 1930 in the lower right corner. The back of the frame has picture wire to hang the painting.
The painting is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The paint is intact with minimal to no paint loss. The painting has an all over darkening to the paint, but the colors are still bright. The frame has general wear with some chipping or scratches to the paint. The paper covering the back has been removed but is still attached to the frame back. The picture wire is still solid.
The painting and frame measure 17.5 inches long by 13.5 inches wide. It is 1.5 inches deep.
