This is a vintage silhouette done by A. Budd-Jack. The silhouette is on cream card stock with a triple black line border. It is marked A. Budd-Jack Silhouette above the border at the bottom and Famous-Barr St. Louis at the bottom. The silhouette is of a young girl with short hair with a sweet bow at the top of her head. Budd-Jack was the artist name of Joseph Thomas Budziak. Budziak, along with his wife Mary, was popular for his quick silhouettes during the 1930s-1950s. He would often set up at fairs and department stores, like Famous-Barr.
The silhouette is in good vintage condition for its age and use. It has some foxing with a large circle of discoloration at the very bottom center of the silhouette. The bottom of the card is creased and wrinkled. The silhouette is in great condition and still attached firmly to the card.
The silhouette card measures 5.75 by just over 3.75 inches.
