This is an antique 1890 edition of the Czech language Home Physician book by Dr. J. Pecirky titled Domaci Lekar and published by Augusta Geringera in Chicago, Illinois. It has brown linen covers with black leather corners and spine. The spine is lettered in gold. The page ends are marbled. The book is essentially a medical encyclopedia of symptoms and remedies written in Czech. There are 402 pages.
The book is in fair antique condition for its age and use. It has wear to the corners and edges of the cover with the binding torn along the whole back of the spine creating a flap. The gold lettering is intact. The covers are cracked at the inside front and back spine. The pages are very yellowed, and the marbling is faded. The pages are starting to separate from the spine at the back. There are several Czech language newspaper clippings tucked in the pages.
The book measures 7.5 inches by 5.5 inches. It is 1.25 inches thick.
