This the 1953 edition of The Concise Encylopedia of Favorite Flowers compiled by Marjorie P. Johnson, edited by Montague Free, and published by The American Garden Guild and Doubleday & Company. It has its original full color dust jacket with turquoise spine and flower photo on the front. The book covers underneath are yellow with green lettering and red-line flower illustrations. The endpapers are white and turquoise illustrated seedlings. The book is illustrated with both full-color photographs and black-line illustrations. There are 256 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The dust jacket has general wear with some folding and tearing along edges and the spine. The spine is faded. The covers underneath are in excellent condition with minimal wear. The pages are yellowed but the photographs are still bright. There are several pieces of ephemera tucked in the pages.
The book measures 8.5 by 5.75 inches. It is 1 inch thick.
