This is the 1940 edition of For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway, published by Charles Scribner's Sons. It has the original red and brown patterned dust jacket. Underneath the covers are light red with gold lettering on the front cover. There are 471 pages.
The book is in fair vintage condition for its age and use. This is an ex-library book, so the dust jacket is wrapped in library mylar and glued to the inside front and back covers.
