This is a pyrography tie rack with the works The Ties That Bind and a portrait of a man and a woman in hearts. The style is very 1900s-1920s. The words are at the top of the back panel and the portraits are in the center. The man is a Rudolph Valentino look alike, and he is in profile facing right. The girl is very Gibson Girl and in profile facing left. They are both inset in hearts. The hearts are tied together with a tiny cherub hanging on to the ribbon strings. At the bottom of the panel is a thin bar to hang ties on. The rack has two holes at the top with twine in between to hang the piece.
The rack is in good antique condition for its age and use. The pyrography is in good condition with general wear - some fading, scratches, and discoloration. The rack bar is fragile as the right side knob has cracked. It still works but it is very wobbly. The twine is holding strong.
The tie rack measures 10.5 inches long by 6 inches wide.
