This is a small green ceramic footed pedestal or compote bowl that can be used as a jardiniere or planter. It has scalloped ribbed sides with curved handles. The bowl is green both inside and out, including on the bottom of the piece. There is no maker's mark on the bottom, but there are three kiln dots where the pottery was set on a tripod inside the kiln.
The compote is in great condition for its age and use. There is some darkening to the glaze on the handles where the bowl has been regularly handled. (pun intended) There are no chips or cracks.
The planter bowl is measures 9 inches long by 5.75 inches wide. It is 3.5 inches in diameter at the base and sits 3.25 inches tall.
