This is the 1899 antique edition of Gulliver's Travels in Words of One Syllable, published by the Henry Altemus Company. It has cream colored covers with a full color illustration of Gulliver in Lilliput surrounded by a floral frame. The title is lettered in gold with a floral motif surrounding. The spine is also lettered in gold. The book is illustrated with 54 black and white illustrations, including an illustration plate at the title page. There are 157 pages.
The book is in good antique condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear with some staining and fraying to the corners and spine edges. The spine has cracked at the inside front and back covers. The covers are still attached. There is an ink inscription inside the front cover, "Merry Christmas to Lora from Jess & Lingah -1905-". The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 5.75 by 7.75 inches. It is half an inch thick.
