This lovely dish was originally meant as an ashtray. It features a rectangle shaped tray with two divots for cigarettes and a blue border. The ashtray bowl is painted a light gold. Since smoking kills, it instead makes a great trinket dish! The back is upright in the shape a sailboat with white sails and clouds of green and blue. It's made in the lusterware style with a slight iridescent sheen to the glazing. The ashtray is marked Japan in red ink on the bottom.
This ashtray is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The ashtray has general wear, but the paint is intact and the glaze luster still shiny. The right side of the ashtray has extra gold paint from the bowl. There is one tiny chip to the right corner of the left side divot.
This ashtray measures 3 inches long by 1.75 inches wide. It is 2.75 inches tall.
