This is the antique 1889 second edition of Bonheur Manque: Carnet d'un Amoureux by Georges de Porto-Riche. The book is palm-sized, bound in brown leather with marbled covers. The spine is lettered in gold. There is a small ribbon bookmark. The book has marbled endpapers. There are 75 pages. Georges de Porto-Riche was a French dramatist and sometime poet. His books of verse were rarely reprinted making this a rare volume!
The book is in great antique condition for its age and use. It has wear to corners and edges with most wear to the spine. The gold lettering is intact. The ribbon is frayed. The pages have yellowed slightly.
The book measures 5.5 by 3.5 inches. It is half an inch thick.
